ROMNEY STARTS TO GIVE UP ON CATHOLIC VOTE

ROMNEY CEDES CATHOLIC STATES TO OBAMA

The Romney-Ryan campaign is giving up on millions of Catholic voters in key swing states.  The above map shows the twelve battleground states early this year.  Since then, the Romney campaign has given up efforts in the three most Catholic of those battleground states -- New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Michigan.  These heavily Catholic states are now expected to support President Obama in the November election.  The Romney-Ryan campaign has ceased major efforts in all three.

At this point, the only battleground state where the Romney-Ryan ticket is leading is North Carolina, the least Catholic state in the nation.

The fact that the first states the Romney campaign retreats from are the most Catholic battleground states shows the profound trouble he is having with Catholic voters.  It is also a sign of the excellent work that is being done by the Obama-Biden campaign in our state, diocesan and parish Catholics for Obama committees.

A vote for Obama is a vote for communism, more abortion and more attacks on Holy mother church.

Birth control pill, less abortions.

You realize, of course, given his positions on non-negotiable issues and the current options available there's no moral justification for Catholics to vote for Obama.

Actually, Secular, all of our moral issues are non-negotiable, not just whichever ring your buzzer.

Principled Catholics don't negotiate on moral issues. We might respectfully disagree and even work with people we disagree with on common ground, but we don't negotiate. Saying their are negotiable and non-negotiable moral issues is silly, at best.

As for Romney, his record seems to be one of negotiating moral issues with himself.

People in your organization would have been the same to vote for and keep Hitler in power. Goodness, look how much "social justice" work he did. The same could be said for Castro, Chavez, Stalin, Lenin, and Mao. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Actually, Susan, it was progessive Catholics like me, in alliance with Socialists and Liberals who kept Hitler out of power. It was right wing Catholics like von Pappen who helped put him in power. You should study history.

Of course, as Rick Santorum said the other day, smart people will never be with the Right-Wing.

Katherine----Politics and history aside, which I have studied and I am a political science and Mid east studies double major. The bottom line is Obama is Anti life and radically pro abortion. This alone is not compatible with catholic teaching. And anyone who would vote for such a person is complicit in its endeavor.

One other thing Katherine, I am also a nurse, and it is under this regime that nurses like me are now having, or may have to choose between assisting in things such as abortions or end of life issues or lose ones job.

Susan,

Very wise on yoru part of move away from your previous false assertions about the Nazi regime.

And you are wrong about nurses, who have a legal right not to assist in an abortion.

Katherine,
Nurses more and more are required to choose between their morals and their jobs. Do not be so naive. Come to Obama's home state of Illinois and see the consequences of his policies. I have heard plenty of anecdotal evidence from nurses in my own family. Stop the lies.

Anonymous,

So you have heard anecdotes of rumors of stories of evidence. You are no more fact based than Mitt Romney.

Dream on Katherine. Your idol's wax wings are rapidly melting.

The Gallup Poll also has Obama up with the Catholic vote. Even the Republican Catholic groups are wringing their hands.
