Wall Street Journal Says Conservative Catholics Up for Grabs

Continuing on yesterday's post, the Wall Street Journal (hardly an organ of the 'liberal media') ran a story Thursday on how the conservative Catholic vote is in play for the 2008 presidential election. In 2004, 62% of conservative Catholics backed Bush, which the Journal says are 12 million voters. The Journal finds that they are significantly less likely to vote Republican in this year's presidential election. Ohio seems to be the epicenter of conservative Catholic disgruntlement with the GOP. Catholics have been disproportionately found in those voters switching their party registration from Republican to Democratic.

The war and the economy seem to be important issues driving this switch. Most of these conservative Catholics remain opposed to abortion. But many of these Catholics twice voted for Bush because of his pro-life stance and despite disagreements on many issues only to see abortion as available as before. They have grown weary of Republican claims they will end abortion in American society only to see it continue.

In his own words.

FYI... Obama words to be aware of...

This guy wants to be our President and control our government.

Below are a few lines from Obama's books -- his words:

From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary,
a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father: ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

Pay particular attention to this last one.
It scares the hell out of me!!!

From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

In the Illinois senate, Obama led the charge against legislation that would have ensured medical care to babies who survived abortions. Any Catholic that supports Obama should be ashamed.

Are you totally clueless?! Bush has done more for the pro-life cause than any other president sense R vs W. Both Justices he nominated are against RvsW and Obama voted against them. Mr. HOPE AND CHANGE hopes to change Bush's partial birth abortion ban laws. The act of supporting and even more so voting in favor of late-term abortion is evil. Obama not only has voted in favor of late-term abortions but also in favor of school counselors bringing students to abortion clinics and never informing the parent. HOW CAN ANYONE CATHOLIC BE IN FAVOR OF THIS MAN?! One could argue its nothing short of a Hebrew supporting Hitler.

Sean, you have to realize these people are Marxists in their thinking. It doesn't have to make sense as long as it furthers world communism.

The real communists have names for these people. They call them "useful idiots." As soon as they're done with these "UIs" they intend to shoot them and bury them in mass graves.

Rustler exactly right. When the Communists took over Poland after WWII, the first thing they did was kill the native Polish Communists and put Russians in charge.

Afro-Marxist Barack Obama will turn this country over to the Commies only to see them eliminate him and put white Communists in charge. His hoped for African liberation movement is a dream.
