Democrats Move to Halt Tax Dollars for Abortions

DEMOCRAT'S OMNIBUS SPENDING BILL CURTAILS BUSH POLICY ALLOWING TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR ABORTIONS

The Omnibus Appropriations bill passed last night by the Senate and on its way to the President's desk for his signature will take the first steps to end a Bush Administration's program that allowed federal tax dollars to be used to pay for abortions. Pro-Life leaders are awaiting remarks by Archbishop Charlie Chaput (R-CO), who has a commentary on almost every issue.

The 2009 omnibus appropriations bill, which passed the Senate on Tuesday, includes a provision prohibiting the use of funds government -wide to further push privatising government work to contractors. Sen. Richard Durbin, (D-IL), and Rep. Jose Serrano, (D-NY), introduced the measure. The Democratic bill also includes language prohibiting using tax dollars to pay for abortions as part of federal employee's health insurance.

Under the Bush Administration's OMB Circular No. A-76 process, government agencies were under heavy pressure to contract out work being performed by government employees. The Bush Administration allowed these companies to use federal tax dollars to pay for their employee's abortions. No tax dollars are allowed to be used to pay for abortions for federal employees.

If this is true, yeah!! Now stop the soon to be federal funding of ESCR. Right after Obama signed into law the federal funding of ESCR,he recinded a policy that provided federal funding for adult stem cells that have actually been used successfully in treatments and cures in patients. This is science that has been working.

Now I ask who is opposed to science?

All we'll hear from Denver will be crickets. This issue won't pave the rode to a red hat, especially since they passed by him in NYC.

May God's mercy never reach you for the genocide you have inflicted on Jesus in the least of His brethren.

"May God's mercy never reach you.."

No comment. I think most readers can understand what we have here.

Seriously, I typed "rode" in lieu of "road?" :-)

As the Anonymous said: if you are going to fund ESCR, what is wrong with funding adult stem cell research, science that has actually worked?

Nothing is wrong on it.

But is this all an attempt to change the subject because of the embarassing silence of the pro-life establishment and Catholic conservatives on their beloved President Bush's pro-abortion A-76 program?

Hey we can talk about the Omnibus Bill which is on point with your article. Is the following statement correct and if it is can you defend it?

"Chris Smith hoped to amend the omnibus budget bill to strip UNFPA funding.

As LifeNews.com has reported, the appropriations bill Congressional Democrats put forward to fund the federal government through the end of the years restores funding to the United Nations Population Fund.

Not only is UNFPA funding approved, Democrats increased it from $40 million to $50 million for the year and went further by weakening the Kemp-Kasten law that prevents forcing taxpayers to fund groups that back forced abortions."

If you are too embarassed to talk about the Pro-Life Establishment's silence on A-76 and the GOP's support, go ahead.

Katherine, are you saying that those who are identified with pro-life groups are for federal funding of abortion of federal employees? Is there a current news story on this that I can read? This does not make any sense... I still want to hear a defense of Obama on funding of ESCR. This is federal funding of the killing of the unborn person.

I am saying they have been silent on the matter when it would have meant opposing George W. Bush.

Holy Crap! I came across this site looking into steps I could attempt to take to ensure my tax dollars won't go to abortions. I don't understand how anyone can consider themselves a Catholic and an Obama supporter. Obama has already proven he supports a culture of death by getting rid of all the good pro life legislation that the Bush administration passed.

In my opinion, anyone that supports what Obama is doing should be excommunicated until they change their heart.

I'm out of here. I don't think I care to read anything on this site.
