Jesuit University Honors Vice President Biden

Vice President Joe Biden, the first Catholic to hold that office, was invited to give a speech at Georgetown University today. Georgetown is America's oldest Catholic university. Biden will also receive the Legal Momentum Hero Award.

Congratulations Mr. Vice President!

Perhaps he'll also be the first Catholic Vice President to be excommunicated.....he's almost there.

Yeah, so a nominal pro-abortion Catholic is in the veep spot. When Obama signs the "Freedom of Choice Act," leaving no freedom for unborn victims of abortion and almost forcing the Church to close its hospitals, I want Catholics for Obama to explain just how they qualify as Catholics.

Well, when the right wing is reduced to a marginal and impotent element, they tend to get bitter. No surprise.

Katherine, I have a yes or no question for you.

Do you agree with the following quote from Pope John Paul II:

"Human life, as a gift of God, is sacred and inviolable. For this reason procured abortion and euthanasia are absolutely unacceptable."

Brian,

Usually, I am happy to answer such inquires. But Brian, it has been asked before, I believe by you, and I am starting to take offense at this repeated inquiry.

Brian, do you beleive that racism, the oppression of the poor and warmongering are immoral?

Sorry Katherine, I don't recall ever asking you in the past about that particular quote from Pope John Paul II.

As to your question: "do you beleive that racism, the oppression of the poor and warmongering are immoral?"

Yes I believe all 3 are immoral.

According to Fr. Jenkins, he would not approve of Biden speaking at a Catholic University since he interprets the document by the bishops to apply toward Catholics only. Perhaps Fr. Jenkins should have been consulted on Georgetown's selection of Biden speaking at their university. I wonder how Georgetown interprets the document by the bishops?

I think we are in agreement then on four very important matters.
